What are the fees?
Travel/mileage fee is separate from Texas Notary Public fees. Once travel has begun, the fee is payable even if the notarization doesn’t occur for reasons outside of the Notary’s control, i.e. no show, late cancellation, proof of identity issues, etc.
Please be prepared to make a deposit if travel to a location is greater than 10 miles.
Appointments must be canceled 2 hours prior to appointment time to avoid travel/mileage fees. Appointments can be canceled via call or text.
*Litigation Support by Q. Thomas and Co. is not a law firm. We are not attorneys, therefore, we are not licensed to practice law in Texas and may not give or accept fees for legal advice. Under the Texas Admin. Code 87.43, a Notary Public is prohibited by law to act in the capacity of an attorney, give advice in preparing legal documents, issue identification cards, and distribute confidential information. A Texas notary may not perform any notarial act unless the signer is present.
WHAT IS A NOTARY PUBLIC?
A Notary Public is an official of integrity appointed by the state government, typically by the secretary of state who serves the public as an impartial witness in performing a variety of official fraud-deterrent acts related to the signing of important documents. Simply put, we are hired to prevent fraud.
